Trekking Guide Tour by Edge2 Summits
The mountain journey offered by Edge2 Summit consists of three layers.
1. First layer is strict safety management. Ensuring safety during Trekking is the most important foundation of a guided mountain tour. It is the element of “peace of mind and safety”.
2. Second layer is the element of “fun”, which allows you to experience the joy of nature trekking. You will enjoy the beautiful mountains, forests, and magnificent nature.
3. Third layer is the element of “discovery”, which goes beyond just safe and fun of trekking, and allows you to reflect on your life from the mountain trip and find the way of your own life.

Edge2 Summit mountain guides, who are certified as Stage 2 Trekking Guides by the Japan Mountain Guides Association (JMGA) and UIMLA International Mountain Leader hiking and trekking guides, will accompany you on your mountain trips under strict safety management.

Mountain trekking is a place where you can experience the beauty of mountains and the grandeur of nature. Even in today’s urbanized and modernized world, we still live in the midst of nature. Mt Oyama
Discover the Sacred Mountain of Mt. Oyama
Mt. Oyama has been revered as a sacred mountain and a place of worship for centuries. At the summit stands the head shrine of Oyama-Afuri Shrine, one of the most important centers of mountain worship in the region.
During the Edo period, Mt. Oyama became one of Japan’s most popular pilgrimage destinations. It is said that as many as one in five people living in Edo, today’s Tokyo, visited Mt. Oyama during their lifetime.
The name “Afuri” is associated with the mountain’s abundant rain and clouds. Farmers from the surrounding areas came here to pray for rain and a good harvest.
As we trek up this historic mountain, we will discover the fascinating story of Japanese mountain worship and the deep connection between nature, people, and faith.

Mt Kintoki
Discover the Legend of Mt. Kintoki
Mt. Kintoki is the northernmost peak of the Hakone caldera, standing on the border of Kanagawa and Shizuoka Prefectures within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
With its dramatic summit and spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, the mountain offers a wonderful combination of nature, history, and Japanese legend.
Mt. Kintoki is also closely connected to the legendary hero Kintaro, who is said to have grown up in the Ashigara mountains. As we trek through this beautiful area, we will discover the fascinating story of Kintaro and experience the natural beauty and history of this special mountain.

Mt. Takao is one of the world’s most popular mountains, located just about an hour from central Tokyo. Since being awarded three Michelin stars in 2007, it has attracted around 3 million visitors every year.
But Mt. Takao is much more than a popular tourist destination. It is a sacred mountain where nature, history, and spirituality come together.
As we trek through the mountain, surrounded by more than 1,600 species of plants, we will discover the fascinating history of Japanese mountain worship and Esoteric Buddhism, which has been deeply rooted in Mt. Takao for centuries.

Toru was the ideal guide for our first summit of Mount Fuji. Our desire was to complete a single-day summit of Mount Fuji for a milestone birthday wish. Toru was absolutely wonderful! He was very communicative in advance of our trek and ensured I was properly prepared for the hike. When the weather shifted, he was flexible with our schedule and we were able to shift to another day. He brought a lovely lunch, including a sterno to boil water so we could have hot soup and hot coffee – what a surprise! Toru guided our family on Mt. Takao and he was excellent. Eight kilometers in ninety-nine degree heat, a family with a range of fitness levels, and nobody was miserable. He set the right pace and read the group the whole way. He handled everything around the hike too. Kept us in drinks, arranged a proper temple lunch at Yakuo-in at the top – one of the better meals we’ve had in Japan. He offered to set up the goma fire prayer as well. We passed, but the fact that he could arrange it tells you something. Highly recommend him.(Client from USA)
